Cazes has received the 1st 2009 Wine Tourism National Price, in the “Cellar and Winery enhancement program” category, among 43 finalists (260 competitors). The investigation committee selected the Maison Cazes for its dynamism in the following fields:
- Wine event organisation (wine tasting training, thematic wine activities…)
- Setting up winery tour to discover the winery: from the biodynamic farming management, guided tours cellars, to centenary ageing oak vats and finally a tasting of the entire wine range.
- The restaurant La Table D’Aimé offers menus elaborated from organic farming food, from local suppliers, children dedicated menus, wine is proposed by glass or by bottle.

Lionel Lavail, Cazes General Manager, has received his price on Wednesday 27th of January 2010 at the Finance Government department from M. Hervé Novelli, Secretary of State in charge of tourism, with M. Bruno Le Maire Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fishing, and M. Paul Dubrule, Board chairman of Wine Tourism.

Created in 2009, the Wine Tourism National Price rewards exceptional personal or collective initiatives contributing to wine tourism development. Any wine and tourism professional or wine heritage could be part of it.
